EXCEPTIONAL CLIENTS/EXCEPTIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
“H” is an amateur who loves to play golf and did very well in some local tournaments in her area. However, it was a different story in the larger events, succumbing to nerves and often losing sleep in the nights preceding the competitions. She excelled in our work together, and utilized her new golf Mental Skills to win her state’s the Women’s Golf Association Championship! And later, she qualified to play in the U.S. Senior Women’s Open, earning a spot that even several professional golfers failed to qualify for!
“P” is a very talented bowler with an outstanding amateur record. He was actually named his state’s High School Athlete of the Year when he was a senior. Quite a feat for a bowler, as compared athletes in the more prominent sports! When he turned professional, however, he had difficulty performing in the bigger events. Once he learned how to better handle pressure and tension in these competitions, “P” went on to become the top money winner on the southern section of his state Pro Bowling Circuit.
“T” is an accomplished tennis player who wanted to improve his ability to compete. He utilized his Mental Skills Training to take second place in his Sate H.S. Championship, being topped only by a highly nationally-ranked player. He received a scholarship to play tennis at an east coast university, and as the team captain, he led his team to the school’s first national competition.
“C” was a good gymnast, but struggled in mastering more difficult and risky maneuvers. After our collaboration, he developed much higher confidence and greater trust in his abilities. The next year, in a competition involving gymnasts from a several state area, he won four gold medals and two silvers in his division.
“M” has a passion for Canine Agility Competitions. She used her Mental Skills Training to become much more confident in her abilities, and to develop greater trust in her canine partner. She also learned to be less distracted by her fellow competitors. “M“ and her canine partner have since gone on to win a Canine Agility National Championship.
Over the years, so many athletes and others who have worked with Dr. Roby have put together a remarkable record of accomplishments. One became a Senior State Champion in golf and also qualified for the U.S. Women’s Senior Open Golf Tournament. Another golfer won an open state championship by eight strokes. One athlete earned a Bronze Medal and a Silver Medal in the World Junior Archery Championships. An elite Brazilian jiu-jitsu competitor took home the GOLD medal in the World Championships. A professional poker player made more money in six months after collaborating with Dr. Roby than he had won the entire previous year. A hockey player, who had lost his aggressive drive after being injured, scored an incredible 12 goals in the span of four consecutive games. He was later heavily recruited to play with an elite east coast team, and also was awarded a college hockey scholarship. And a Cross Country competitor, who used to get so nervous before competitions she would actually vomit, shaved an incredible six minutes off her personal best time!
